Culture in Pieces. Essays on ancient texts in honour of Peter Parsons
Both editors co-organised the conference and engaged in correspondence with all the contributors, commenting on drafts and giving guidance on presentation and house style. Rutherford prepared the proposal for the OUP Delegates and the list of contributors, and supplemented and updated the Bibliography of Peter Parsons's writings which he originally provided. He compiled the indexes & finalised/harmonised captions of illustrations and their listing on the contents page. He handled most of the dialogue with copy-editors and others at OUP. Both editors processed the proofs though individual contributors were also given input. They co-wrote the introduction and Rutherford wrote Chapter 4.
