Additional information

<07> Innovation: Homework project provided homeowner ownership and visibility of the home networking infrastructure. Paper describes the information plane architecture that underlies the Homework smart router at the core of the project. The extensibility of the information plane is key.

Rigour: the behaviour of the system for typical rate control queries is measured and documented.

Impact: first known discussion of information plane architecture suitable for such complex event processing; presented at prestigious Integrated Management conference; the ephemeral, real-time, time-series database, unified with a pub/sub infrastructure, is being used in a number of application domains.
