Additional information

<13>Econophysics is a new research area, where physicists and computer scientists apply information theory and agent-based modelling to economic processes, providing an alternative to neo-classical explanation of phenomena. By using concepts from physics and information theory the new discipline potentially displaces the 'just so' stories told by economics. Computing related innovations are: analysis of mass production in terms of Shannon information theory, analysis of monetary phenomena in terms of relational algebra, agent based modelling of wealth distributions. The scientific impact can be seen in its rapidly accumulating a substantial number of references.
