Additional information

<20>The paper is the first attempt to predict the personality traits listeners attribute to unacquainted speakers while identifying the speech characteristics driving the trait attribution process. Besides pioneering such an application, data and experimental protocol of the paper were adopted in an international benchmarking campaign (The "Speaker Trait Challenge" at Interspeech 2012, http://emotion-research.net/sigs/speech-sig/is12-speaker-trait-challenge) that involved 21 research groups. The high number of participants is an evidence of the major interest the paper attracts. The PhD student co-authoring the work was awarded the "Anita Borg Google Scholarship" as a recognition for the quality of her research.
