Christianity and the University Experience: Understanding Student Faith
This 90,000 word monograph constitutes the chief output of the ‘Christianity and the University Experience in Contemporary England’ research project. The project is the first nationwide study of Christian students at England’s universities based on representative cross-sector empirical data. The research was especially time-consuming, with work over three years by four academics at three universities, as it encompassed a national survey of 4,500 student respondents and extended face-to-face interviews with 100 students and university staff . It represents a major evidence-based contribution to understandings of the student experience, Christian institutions, and the relationship between the two.
