Additional information

The paper describes the influence of the substrate on the growth of graphene and shows how the orientation of graphene domains can be controlled. This practical processing work is vital to reduce the number of defects in graphenes so that it can be used in the future as an engineering materials, and attracted attention from the media including interviews at BBC Radio Oxford, the Engineer, Azonetwork etc, and was part of the output that led to an invitation to the ministerial working group on the future of Nanomaterials at No 10 on 9/8/12.
