Additional information

Co-authored article in the leading Canadian generalist law journal. This relatively recent article critically reviews the Canadian response to forensic science evidence following the U.S. National Academy of Sciences report (2009) and the Goudge Inquiry into Pediatric Forensic Pathology in Ontario (2007-8). Already it is the most downloaded article of all articles published in the journal. It has also prompted two published responses and two replies: Gary Edmond and Kent Roach, ‘Trial by theory: A response to Acharya's “Law’s treatment of science: From idealization to understanding”’ (2013) Dalhousie Law Journal 57-91 and Gary Edmond and Kent Roach, ‘A Reply to Chasse’s “Junk Science by way of a Higher Burden of Proof”’ (2012) 16 Canadian Criminal Law Review 391-413.
