<16> This paper, on modeling the environmental impact of internet based service provision, has been used as the basis for analysis of the energy use of digital service delivery by Guardian News and Media [Contact: Environment and Sustainability Manager, Guardian News and Media Ltd], Preist has presented the work to the Guardian Board of Directors (09/02/2012); and the work is now guiding the company's digital sustainability strategy. A simplification of the results can be found in their public sustainability report http://www.guardian.co.uk/sustainability. This is the first time any organisation has reported on its end-to-end digital carbon footprint.
