<23> This paper, arising from a Leverhulme Trust funded project [F/00182/AV - PRINS-SNAKE, £64K, 2006-2008] on tracking dynamic contours, provides a way of automatically applying the techniques to moving and deforming objects. The paper proposes a method that does not require initialisation and learns to find and track objects as a

scene is viewed. Follow on work is applying the techniques to cardiac motion analysis.
