<23> The Augmented Reality system described in this paper attracted the attention of the MOD, and the authors were invited to an invite only DSTL/MOD workshop at Porton Down (April 2010) to demonstrate the system. A license for the prototype was purchased by Thales UK [Contact: Chief Scientist, see audit file] to demonstrate their ultra-wideband technology. The paper resulted from the EPSRC/TSB funded ViewNet project which involved eight industrial partners including primes such as Thales, Toshiba and Ordnance Survey.
