<29> In this paper we describe the conception, design and development of the CHERMUG games which support students as they learn about research methods and statistics. The development of the games was funded by the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme and the project finishes in December 2013. Early piloting suggest that players find the games an enjoyable way of learning in this abstract and difficult area. Nursing Standard is the UK's top selling nursing journal and publication in this journal ensures wide ranging dissemination to nurses who are required to develop an effective working knowledge of research methods.
