Double-weighted statement

The basis of this case for double weighting is the extent and complexity of the thesis in the monograph. The monograph develops four separate models relating to its central theme, each one based on a different set of data and representing a distinct research project. Each project was one carried out over a period of about one year and each model is presented in a chapter of approximately 10,000 words. They are drawn together, integrated and contextualised in a monograph of 80,000 words.
