Author contribution:

This is a 100,000-word edited volume with an international set of contributors (5 from the UK, 4 from the USA, 2 from Australia), all of whom were selected and subsequently guided by Tumblety as editor to meet the brief of presenting original research that reflects the diversity of current scholarly approaches to memory. Tumblety's chapter draws on original research into the post-Liberation rehabilitation of former collaborators, highlighting in novel ways the key role in that process played by lawyer and politician Jacques Isorni.
