Additional information

This research was collaborative with the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia. The work demonstrated the efficacy of a finite element approach for simulating complex masonry behaviour using a material model developed by Jefferson. An important outcome from the work was that the same material model was used for the analysis of a doubly curved masonry arch structure on a major commercial project,(i.e. extension to Glasgow railway station, Paul.Lyons@lusas.com)
