Droplet impact onto a moving film is modelled by assuming correlations established from impact onto static films hold true. This fundamental experimental work investigates droplet impact outcomes for a gravity driven film leading to more realistic numerical models for film cooling which are disrupted by droplet impact. The driver being aero-engine cooling, being part of collaborative research with RR, Darius.Wania@Rolls-Royce.com
