Double-weighted statement

Brief articles have appeared on kenotic features of Kierkegaard’s Christology, but Kierkegaard’s Kenotic Christology is the topic's first sustained, large-scale, comprehensive study. The book places Kierkegaard's Christology in the context of the 17th and mid-19th century German controversies concerning kenotic theology and concludes that Kierkegaard advances what Law calls ‘existential kenoticism’, a form of kenotic Christology distinct from the better known contemporary German and Danish kenotic Christologies. The execution of this project entailed the detailed study over more than one RAE/REF period of a large body of German, Danish, and English works on both kenosis and Kierkegaard.
