Additional information

This exhibition/ series of work-shops and happenings will investigate the layers of the modern human identity in the digital age and the blurring of physical and psychological borders and distances. The intent is to exposes through speculative perspectives the utopias of representation of our inner and outer being. The Artists involved will initiate happenings with artworks by international and multidisciplinary artists, reflecting the subject from different positions. The event in its entirety will include exhibitions, workshops, screenings, talks and unexpected situations. As part of this exhibition and cultural happening I have been invited to participate in I will be attend an diverse series of workshops with artists based across Europe in Berlin Germany to explore how human identity is formed in the digital age with my own interest in the ‘mystery of products of their meaning’ being a driving force in the collaborative and conceptualizing events taking place 20th-26th July 2013. Following this a group exhibition will be held in the Gallery Spaces with the focus of the show being an exploration of ‘Speculative Identities’ themed loosely on a Friedrich Nietzsche, quote from ‘The Gay Science’ that eludes to strengths and weakness being part of human identity that can give ‘style’ to one’s character.
