Lipid nanoscaffolds in carbon nanotube arrays
Lipid nanoscaffolds have been developed in conjunction with teams from Imperial College London and University of Cambridge. They provide novel applications in the areas of protein reconstitution and orientation induced crystallization. The importance of this research has been recognised as this paper was selected for a front cover for the journal. Further confirmation of the impact of this research can be substantiated by the authors being invited to submit a Video-Article for the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE). Future work will focus on using titanium nanoarrays instead of carbon nanotubes arrays, with potential for the fabrication of biomedical implants.
