Film Nation: Hollywood Looks at US History, Revised Edition contains four new chapters and a new Preface, which have been published for the first time in 2010. The new chapters are: Chapter 6, 'The Columbian Exchange: Pocahontas and The New World;' Chapter 7, 'Homeland or Promised Land? The Ethnic Construction of Nation in Gangs of New York;' Chapter 8, 'Haunting in the War Film: Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima;' and Chapter 9, 'Trauma and History in United 93 and World Trade Center.' The four new chapters and the Preface comprise 97 pages of new writing. The earlier material in Film Nation, Revised Edition, has not been revised for the new edition.
