Additional information

<27>Digital Ecosystems (DEs) are distributed systems focusing on a self-organising digital infrastructure and the socio-economic context in which it operates. The novelty of this paper is in the design solutions it presents for a business-oriented ecosystem. The approach builds on the local interactions inherent in business transactions and uses these to drive the adaptation of the underlying P2P network topology. The resulting reference architecture has been implemented in the Open Source project Flypeer by IPTI (Brazil), SUAS (Austria), IITK (India). Additionally, the transaction model has been implemented as an engine in IPTI’s collaborative platform Guigoh.
