Design of quantum-dot cellular automata circuits using cut-set retiming
QCA nanotechnology is a potential alternative to CMOS technology. To date, the design of large QCA circuits has been considered too complex due to the significant timing issues experienced in QCA circuit design from interconnection latency and feedback. This is the first paper to provide an effective solution (cut-set retiming) to this problem. This research work will lead the way for the design of more complex QCA circuits allowing researchers to develop new QCA design methodologies and demonstrate the full potential of QCA nanotechnology. This work contributes to the research monograph, Design of Semiconductor QCA Systems, Artech House in 2013.
