Additional information

Describes a  report of mechanical characterisation of fretting wear debris using nano-indentation.  The modelling side of this work adds to the industrially relevant topic of predictive methods for fretting wear which incorporate the effects of fretting wear debris.  In particular knowledge of the yield stress and modulus of the debris layer is a necessary precursor to successful constitutive modelling, as acknowledged by the Oxford group (Prof David Hills david.hills@eng.ox.ac.uk).
