Additional information

This was the first paper published on the application of chromatographic reactor for esterification of acetic acid with n-hexanol in the presence of a dual property based gelular ion-exchange resin as a catalyst (in collaboration with Purolite International Ltd). This research has won the second prize at an annual IChemE research event in 2011. It was further shown that this process offers both capital and recurring cost savings to petrochemical and fine chemical industries as a result of simultaneous reaction and product separation in a continuous chromatographic reactor. Verification: Dr. Luc Froment, Purolite International Ltd, E-mail: luc.froment@purolite.com
