Child Pornography: Law and Policy (377pp, c.175,000 words) is a sustained piece of socio-legal scholarship that is ambitious in scale and scope. It is unique in that it brings together literature from psychology, sociology and law to critically examine the manner in which child pornography is the subject of legal regulation. It draws upon international and comparative law and policy to understand how legal systems react to a phenomenon that is still not clearly understood. Its ambition is to demonstrate that the law has lost focus on the underlying harms that it sought to tackle.
