ABSTRACT TRANSLATION - Plannen voor Mensen” (Planning for People) is the first Dutch research handbook for ‘social-spatial’ planning. Its aim is to enable architects and urban designers to address the social challenges they are confronted with in their daily practices. Additionally the book also speaks to social practitioners who are dealing with challenges that are urban in nature and that are heavily influenced by the nature of the built environment. The authors have together started from the idea that in the future the practice and research of urban design (and architecture) will become even more inter-disciplinary in nature.
