<06> This work is the first in the design and development of cross layer medical video streaming rate controller in the 4G-based of mobile Worldwide Interoperability For Microwave Access (WiMAX) and its comparison with the existing High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA). The experimental results have shown an improved performance of mobile WiMAX compared to the HSUPA using the same cross-layer optimization. This will contribute to the adoption of future m-health multimedia communications in environments such as remote tele-consultation, tele-ultrasonography and mobile ambulance services.
