<23> This work on image registration was in collaboration with colleagues from Imperial College and it was based on the previous research on motion estimation incorporating rotation under a robust framework. We presented a robust FFT-based approach to scale-invariant image registration, which relies on FFT-based correlation. This work provides the bases to advance the performance of many methods related to registration in different areas such as medical, satellite and face recognition leading to higher performance. The good citation rate is a reflection that this registration algorithm has found wide use.
