Coupled minimum-cost flow cell tracking for high-throughput quantitative analysis
A new mathematical framework for tracking cells for high-throughput applications is introduced. The work was originally presented at the international conference on Information Processing in Medical Imaging (IPMI) 2009 (oral, acceptance rate: 11.6%) and was subsequently selected for the special section on IPMI 2009 of the Medical Image Analysis Journal. Based on this contribution Dr Rittscher was invited to present a keynote talk at the Seventh Indian Conference on Computer Vision, Graphics and Image Processing in Chennai, India. Internationally recognized groups (e.g. Inst. Pasteur; German Cancer Center, Heidelberg) have adopted and extended the proposed approach.
