Additional information

This is a breakthrough result for red giants in that, for the first time, it has been possible to measure the internal rotation rate for an evolved star. Angular momentum transport is a difficult area but influential in the evolution of stars. Elsworth's contribution was in participating in the writing of the text, doing some of the primary analysis of the data, science discussions with the lead author who is a PhD student and an organizational role within the red giant community who collaborated on this paper.
