<09> This paper is transformative in bringing a new generation of component specification and retrieval, which is holistic semantic-based and adaptation-aware, to software reuse community and industry. The paper is an extension of a best paper award winner (ASEA’2009, http://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-642-10619-4_7, Springer-Verlag), with novel contributions on a formal systematic definition of the MVICS model, its apparatus development and industrial evaluation.

The model and tool was widely evaluated via its online version and industrial case studies, showing its effectiveness and promising for industrial use (MySoft Technology, Mobile Game Development at Gameloft).

IJCT (IF 1.341) is an open access peer-reviewed journal.
