Additional information

<20>This paper is the first paper to develop the concept of a blended space, introducing a new way of thinking about human-computer interaction in spaces where digital content and physical space are very closely entwined. It also develops original ideas on the sense of presence. The significance of the work has led to the author begin asked to contribute to workshops in Austria, Italy, Sweden and the USA. The paper provides a rigourous treatment of the literature on physical spaces and digital spaces and how conceptual blending theory can be applied to develop the notion of blended spaces.
