As co-author to this paper, Anne Bevan’s contribution as a visual artist investigates the context of a ‘Northern Field’ with particular reference to her field research and development of artworks relating to the Western and Northern Isles of Scotland.
Bevan’s interdisciplinary methods involving visualisation are explored, highlighting work developed and made alongside scientists & creative writers, in this instance with landscape architect Ross Mclean.
The paper was jointly developed through research with the Royal Society of Edinburgh funded network CORE, and will have further public dissemination through the AHRC funded network, Northern Peripheries.
