Additional information

Arising from an IPHA grant in collaboration with Bison Concrete Product Ltd and Severfield-Reeve Ltd, this paper describes the research on a new construction technique of semi-rigid composite connection with precast hollow core slabs. Eight full scale tests were conducted. A calculation method of moment capacity and rotation capacity for this new type of joints were proposed for the first time which was validated against the full scale tests results, good agreement is achieved. It leads to a more accurate design method of this new type of connections.
