Double-weighted statement

This book is the culmination of the author’s major programme of research conducted from 2003-2009. UK Children Go Online (ESRC-funded) involved the collection and analysis of a considerable body of material – a national survey and many interviews and focus groups with children in homes and schools, conducted by the author. The book also incorporates the author’s EC-funded research on the (then) 21-country EU Kids Online project which she directed from 2006-2009. Its thorough synthesis of the critical insights, arguments and evidence developed during this lengthy period of data collection are contextualised within a substantial literature review and overarching theoretical framework.
