Additional information

This paper describes a new experimental methodology that provides a direct link between damage and macroscopically observed stress-strain behaviour in pressure sensitive materials. The novelty of this approach is that the damage can be quantified at any point on multiaxial stress-strain paths. This can be used by modellers for verification of existing and development of new continuum damage models for simulating inelastic behaviour of concrete structures up to the point of failure.
