Additional information

This paper presented the first in-depth comparison between red and blue spiral galaxies, showing that red spirals exist in a variety of environments. The analysis for this paper was performed jointly between Masters and Mosleh (at the time an undergraduate at Sussex, supervised by Kath Romer). The physical interpretation of the results and the write-up of this work were led by Masters, who is first author of the paper. Other co-authors contributed to the interpretation, presentation, and through creating the Galaxy-Zoo project.
