<26> This research shows how combined use of diverse features can improve content-based image retrieval. The research has been influential to researchers from the University of Calgary, Canada (M Sultana and M Gavrilova) in the development of a content-based feature combination method for face recognition. It has also been used by researchers at Murdoch University, Australia (M Shiratuddin and others) in their investigation of feature selection methods for content-based image retrieval.
