<20> This paper describes the design and realization of a surround-screen system that is an order of magnitude less expensive than similar commercial systems while retaining the most important quality properties. The design is based on off-the shelf components and only the actual screen frame is custom built. The paper explains installation and setup of the system as well as how much effort has to be planned for maintenance. In addition it also shows the integration of the first publicly accessible omni-directional treadmill system for natural navigation.
