Additional information

Passionate Being explores the non-division between practice and theory, criticism and creativity. In this, my third book, formal experiments bring attention to the action of language and its presuppositions. It proposes language as an experience in the world rather than a means of representation. The work extends research on the transposition of writing into the repertoire of visual art. Written in the first and second person, the book pursues the questions ‘What can you say?’. Research into the peculiar existence of the example underpins the writing and gives insight into key ideas of the contemporary philosopher Giorgio Agamben.
