The findings led to a grant obtained by the co-author, Prof. George Weiss, on "analysis and control of coupled systems'' ($162,000) awarded by the Israel Science Foundation and started in October 2010. In addition, the findings were presented in prestigious confences the 48th and 49th IEEE Conferences on Decision and Control in China (2009), and in USA (2010) respectively. Furthermore using the thoery develped in this paper, the authors investigated the suppression of the vibrations of wind turbine towers resulting in two journal papers published in IMA Journal of Mathematical Control and Information in 2011.
