This research founded £1.2M EPSRC funded research into Automotive Human Machine Interface (HMI) (EP/G049971/1). The output from this work was applied within the EU funded Low Carbon Vehicle Technology Programme (LCVTP) with international partners from industry and academia. The research also established a £250K vehicle simulator assessing feasibility of HMI concepts and an £80K Jaguar Land Rover funded EngD. The findings have been exploited within numerous automotive products including the Jaguar XF, Range Rover Sport, Discovery 4 and 2010 Range Rover (Idixon2@jaguarlandrover.com, wcurtis@jaguarlandrover.com). These world leading products have won numerous international awards for the quality of their vehicle interiors.
