English abstract

This monograph contains two sections written in English: an introductory essay discussing the manuscript evidence and text-critical problems associated with 2 Enoch (33 pages) and a translation of one neglected manuscript (‘B’), accompanied by text-critical notes (54 pages). The remaining sections of the book (not including the bibliography) contain transcriptions of the Church Slavonic manuscripts of 2 Enoch, with a full listing of variants. The Slavonic encountered in these manuscripts represents several dialects, including a range of Russian dialects, Bulgarian, Serbian and Croatian.
