Additional information

This work describes a mathematically rigorous framework to address the non-minimum phase and stability problems in adaptation of the IIR filters. This is done by formulating the problem as a system identification problem which led to the development of a novel algorithm for the original problem. It gave rise to an invited paper in IEEE ICSP2008 conference and has stimulated interest by Sound Frontier group in Bosch industry (Bosch Eng. GmbH, Rouven.Ritter@de.bosch.com) for collaboration on active noise control systems. A version of this algorithm is currently being tested and developed in their laboratories for reduction of automotive exhaust noise
