Developing Countries and the Multilateral Trade Regime: The Failure and Promise of the WTO's Development Mission
This research monograph, of over 107,000 words, represents the fruit of 5 years of extensive research and analysis. It contains a detailed theoretical, historical and legal exploration of the multiple ways in which the concept of development has functioned within the multilateral trade regime since de-colonisation. The book draws on an extensive range of literatures (including public international law, international economic and trade law, development studies, political science, and political
economy) to provide the first systematic account of the way in which multilateral trade institutions and practices have influenced, and been influenced by, development thinking over the last six decades.
