An efficient numerical technique is described which contemporaneously predicts the interaction with the local environment for antennas within multi-layered cylindrical dielectric media, using an entire domain rather than piece-wise sub-domain approach. Such mathematical pre-processing offers significant computational accuracy and speed improvements of at least an order of magnitude over conventional analysis packages which segment the environment, especially for electrically large antenna systems. The novel electromagnetic formulation presented in the paper is implemented in a moment method to demonstrate the advantages of the new technique, and is presented as a practical analysis tool in papers #3 and #4.
