As a co-founder of the Architecture and Education Foundation I have been involved in a range of significant discussions with leading architects and academics about the direction of the profession. In order to provide some framework for discussion in 2012 I wrote a document about architecture and public life; revisiting the idea of the public through the work of Jane Jacobs and Hannah Arendt. The AE has hosted a number of significant events over the past year.
