Additional information

This is an international collaboration between Cadiz University, Microelectronics Institute in Madrid, University of Paris-Sud, UK SuperSTEM and Warwick University. The analysis showed exactly how antimony is incorporated into quantum dot structures, giving rise to models of their luminescence behaviour. These materials are potential high-speed replacements for the existing optoelectronic technology used to power fibre-optic communications.
