Additional information

<18>This paper proposes a novel model for efficiently distributing keys in a lightweight ad hoc network based on a grid structure. The paper generated significant interest amongst researchers working on Costas arrays (I was invited to UCD Dublin to present this work), as this is just the second application of these abstract structures to a real world problem (the other is to sonar). The paper formed the basis for invited talks at the International Workshop on Coding and Cryptology 2009 (Zhangjiajie, China) and Selected Areas in Cryptography 2010 (Waterloo, Canada), as well as a seminar at KU Leuven, Belgium.
