<09> Software development with reuse requires the availability of pre-defined components and composition mechanisms. This paper is significant because it defines a new approach that provides a set of composition connectors which increases the ability to reuse components, leading to reduced time-to-market. The approach was adopted in a European ARTEMIS project CESAR with Airbus UK, and was used in successful case studies by Airbus UK, SAGEM and Thales Avionics. It was also chosen as a demonstrator for the external review of the project. The tool is part of the CESAR Reference Technology Platform belonging to the industrial association ARTEMISIA.
