Additional information
<07> The efficient execution of workflow applications over distributed and heterogeneous resources requires techniques that take into account the varying loads on resources. This paper is significant because it is the first paper to retrofit an adaptive control loop to an existing and popular workflow management system in such a way that makes it possible to take into account run-time performance characteristics when executing such workflow applications on parallel or distributed resources.
